11 Oct Your invite to the Southwark Business Resilience Awards Virtual Ceremony!
Join us for The Southwark Business Resilience Awards Virtual Ceremony – the finale of the 2021 programme – to hear about all the amazing businesses who have risen to the challenges of COVID-19.
We will be celebrating their successes on Thursday 21 October between 6pm – 7.30pm. All tickets are free and we welcome anyone to join us for a great evening hosted by TV broadcaster Fayon Dixon.
These Awards are managed on behalf of Southwark Chamber and Southwark Council, and the programme’s sponsors include Art-Invest Real Estate Management UK Ltd, Berkeley Homes (Capital) plc, British Land, Hollybrook Homes, Elephant & Castle Town Centre, Landsec, Lendlease, with Southwark News and Southwark Stands Together as supporters.
Art-Invest Real Estate Management UK Ltd is sponsoring the COVID-19 Business Commitment to Education, Training and Skills Award.
Ali Abbas, Managing Director Head of UK, said: “I am looking forward to the ceremony and hope to meet many of you on the day. Congratulations to the finalists, as well as the team behind the scenes that have put this occasion together. I hear the votes are incredibly close and want to wish good luck to all. I have said before how it’s a pleasure for us to be sponsoring this great initiative.
“The Award for COVID-19 Business Commitment to Education, Training and Skills is a genuine testament to those local industry leaders that are placing opportunity and ambition at the forefront of their response to these unprecedented times. It perfectly resonates with our vision for Canada Water Dockside, one that focuses on supporting the Borough’s post-pandemic recovery through the provision of up to 10,000 jobs throughout the lifetime of the development, starting with the Construction Skills Centre that we welcomed on to our site earlier this year.”
Guests at the Virtual Awards Ceremony will be the first to learn the names of the winners of the 2021 category awards, along with the Southwark Business of the Year.
This fantastic event is a not-to-be missed evening of celebration and networking, as well as a unique opportunity to host and thank clients, suppliers and staff.
Here are some top tips for getting the most out of the Virtual Awards Ceremony.

- Watch along with colleagues: Arrange to get together, or create a group chat with your staff so you can communicate throughout the evening while you all watch along!
- Raise a toast: Have a drink at the ready to ‘cheers’ the winners!
- Don’t forget the snacks: Like at the cinema, you need some snacks to keep you fuelled throughout – why not get some nibbles so you don’t get peckish!
- Make a night of it: Just because the Ceremony finishes at 7:30pm, doesn’t mean you have to!
