Southwark Business Excellence Awards 2023 – call for entries

The Southwark Business Excellence Awards are back for the 6th year running.

Our Call for Entries period launches today (Wednesday 20 September) – and to enter all you need to do is register and answer two questions through our online portal. Click here.

Finalists will be announced shortly after the entry period closes on Friday 10 November – and an Awards Ceremony will take place in early 2024.

Winners will be decided by either a public vote or interview with our judging panel, depending on the category.

This year we have eight categories in addition to Business of the Year – the crown of crowns.

They are:

  • Best Business for Customer Service
  • Best Charity, Co-Operative or Social Enterprise
  • Best Employer sponsored by Berkeley Homes (North East London & South East London Ltd)
  • Best Independent Business
  • Contribution to the Community sponsored by Elephant & Castle Town Centre
  • Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Outstanding Team Award
  • Sustainable Green Investment sponsored by Landsec

We are delighted to announce the return of our fantastic sponsors, Berkeley Homes (North East London & South East London Ltd), Elephant & Castle Town Centre and Landsec and supporters Adroit Accountax, Alumno, Pulse and Willmott Dixon.

The Southwark Business Excellence Awards 2023 are run in partnership with Southwark Council and Southwark Chamber of Commerce.

Cllr. Martin Seaton, Southwark Council’s Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Business, said:  “I am delighted to support the Southwark Business Excellence Awards for 2023. It aims to shine a light on the achievements of local Southwark businesses and recognise their role in uplifting our local economy.

“I was lucky to have attended the 2022 awards ceremony and was really impressed by the excitement and buzz in the room. It was clear how passionate the businesses were about what they do, and it was inspiring to see the awards bring them together.

“I would encourage all businesses in Southwark to get involved with the awards, whether that be by sponsoring the event or entering themselves. Take time to celebrate your successes, connect and create a supportive community, and aim for growth.”
