14 Jul Construction on Tribe’s Ilderton Road development reaches third floor
YourTribe’s activity in Southwark continues to increase with 3 live projects in the Borough and new acquisitions on the horizon. The furthest progressed is the redevelopment of the former Floyd’s Builders Merchants on Ilderton Road which is delivering 250 student beds, 58 affordable homes and 1,739 Sq.m of flexible commercial space. Construction is now up to 3rd floor and pra
ctical completion is programmed for Q1 2024 (see left and main image).
The month of June saw construction start at 671-679 Old Kent Rd, the Former KFC drive through, where Tribe are delivering 267 much needed student beds in the heart of the Old Kent Road Opportunity Area. As a business it is fantastic to put our plans into action and contribute to this exceptional regeneration story.
Our latest project at Avonmouth House, Elephant & Castle is our third live project in Southwark where a planning application has been submitted for 233 beds of student accommodation which is being discussed with planning officers.
As a business we are determined to solve the shortage of good quality and affordable accommodation for London’s students by delivering design led schemes in these vibrant and convenient locations. Our immediate plans in Southwark will deliver accommodation for 750+ students from various London universities boosting the vibrancy and local economy around each development.
We continue to see Southwark as a key Borough to invest in and deliver purpose built student accommodation. We are looking forward to announcing new acquisitions in the coming months.
