29 Feb Now available: a unique opportunity to promote your business, upskill a diverse group of people and work with clay!
Could your business help upskill a diverse range of students in return for brand promotion and the opportunity to get creative with clay?
HND Ceramics students at Morley College are looking for a total of £7,000 sponsorship. They need £3,500 for their graduation show and £3,500 for a stand at New Designers.
The end-of-year exhibition takes place at Borough Road Gallery, 103 Borough Road, SE1 0AA from 7 July to 9 July 2020. New Designers runs from 1 to 4 July 2020 at Islington’s Business Design Centre in Upper Street, N1 0QH.
Support in kind would also be welcome. For example, refreshments for private views, furniture for the exhibition and help with the exhibition catalogue. The students are open to any ideas businesses themselves might have.
Student, Claudette Forbes, said: “Partnering with us means you will help to upskill a diverse group of students of all ages. In return we can offer ways for you to promote your brand and get you and your local community involved in creating with clay.”
Opportunities for businesses include:
- Co-hosting a private view in a gallery setting and by inviting guests, a networking opportunity with creative businesses, designers, media, educators and students.
- Branding on all publicity including social media and the exhibition catalogue.
- Use of the events and your support for your own promotional material.
- Team building sessions for staff to learn basic clay hand building.
- Promotion of your commitment to corporate social responsibility by collaborating on community-based activities for instance with young people.
- Creative clay workshops for your company or organisation.
Claudette said: “By engaging in an art class, employees can develop their critical thinking and analysis skills and bond with their team members in an entirely new way. This is also an opportunity for your business to promote itself on a unique and different platform.”
Established in 1889, Morley College London in Westminster Bridge Road is one of the country’s oldest and largest specialist providers of adult education.
Founded to address the learning needs of the local, at that time very poor area, it was the first institution of its kind to admit both men and women on an equal footing. This sense of mission and spirit of inclusion towards the most disadvantaged in society has been maintained throughout Morley’s history and continues today.
